Release Notes: Viewing AI Insight Reports: FPG Customer Success

Overview- Release Feb 2nd

AI Insight Reports are now stored in IN-Gauge with improved organization and faster retrieval. This release note explains how to access and view all available reports.

Viewing Active Reports

Active AI Insight Reports (generated within the retention window) are accessible directly from the application:

  1. Navigate to the Reports section in your dashboard
  2. Select AI Insight Reports from the report type menu
  3. Use the available filters to narrow results by location, date range, or report type
  4. Click any report row to view details or download

Active reports load instantly and are always available in the standard UI.

Understanding Report Availability

Reports now follow a tiered storage model:

StatusVisibilityAccess Time
ActiveVisible in UIInstant
ArchivedNot visible in UIRequires restore request

Reports are automatically archived based on age to optimize system performance and reduce storage costs. The archive metadata is indexed in DynamoDB, meaning the system knows exactly which reports exist even after they're moved to long-term storage.

Requesting Archived Reports

If you need a report that is no longer visible in the UI:

  1. Contact your system administrator or submit a restore request through the support portal
  2. Provide the report date range, location, and report type
  3. The administrator will initiate the restore process
  4. Restored reports will temporarily appear in your Active Reports view

Note: Archived report restoration follows asynchronous SLAs and may take up to 24 hours depending on the storage tier.

Key Changes from Previous System

  • Faster active report retrieval — Reports in the active store now load more quickly
  • Improved search — DynamoDB indexing enables faster lookups across large report volumes
  • Clear separation — Active vs. archived status is now explicit, avoiding confusion about report availability
  • Tenant isolation — Reports are securely isolated per organization with enhanced access controls

Questions?

If you cannot locate a report you expect to see, verify the date falls within the active retention window. For reports outside this window, follow the archived report request process above.

Release Notes: Food & Beverage Yield (FBY) — Server Leaderboard

Coming Soon: Test Properties in January - Full Roll out in February 2026

What's New

We're excited to introduce Food & Beverage Yield (FBY), a new performance metric designed to give managers a fair, normalized view of server sales performance across your restaurant operations.

What is FBY?

FBY measures how much revenue a server generates per guest relative to your outlet's average entrée price. This creates an apples-to-apples comparison that works across different restaurants, regardless of menu pricing.

The Formula:

FBY = (Server's Average Revenue per Guest ÷ Outlet Average Entrée Price) × 100

For example, if a server averages $72 per guest and your average entrée is $34.76, their FBY would be approximately 207% — meaning they generate roughly 2x the entrée value per guest through appetizers, drinks, desserts, and upselling.

How the Leaderboard Card Works

Benchmark Card

The dark blue summary card shows your Top 20% Benchmark — the average FBY of your top-performing servers. This provides a realistic, data-driven target rather than an arbitrary goal.

ElementDescription
Benchmark %Average FBY of your top 20% of servers
Avg. Entrée ValueThe outlet's average entrée price used in calculations
Progress BarVisual representation of where the benchmark falls on the scale
Above/BelowCount of servers performing above or below the benchmark

Server Rankings

Each server row displays their rank, name, FBY percentage, and performance relative to the benchmark:

Badge ColorMeaning
🟢 GreenPerforming above the benchmark
🟡 GoldWithin range of the benchmark
⚪ GrayBelow the benchmark

The percentage indicator (e.g., +40.7% or -9.2%) shows how far above or below the benchmark each server falls.

Filtering Options

  • Meal Period: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or All
  • Time Range: Weekly view with date range selector

Detail Modal

Click on the leaderboard to open an expanded view with additional metrics per server:

  • Revenue per Check
  • Average Revenue per Guest
  • Average Tip %
  • Total Tips
  • Total Revenue
  • FBY

Filter by meal period (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) and time range (WTD, MTD, YTD, or specific month). Export data using the download button for further analysis.

Why FBY Matters

FBY helps you identify coaching opportunities by showing which servers excel at maximizing guest spend — and which may benefit from training on upselling, menu knowledge, or guest engagement. Because it's normalized to entrée pricing, you can fairly compare performance across different outlets in your portfolio.

Release Notes: F&B Dashboard Filtering Enhancements

Release Date:  January 30th  2025

We've redesigned how you interact with F&B modal filters to give you clearer, faster, and more accurate insights.

What's New

Smarter Filter Controls Date selection and data aggregation are now separate. Choose your time period, then independently decide how you want to see it—daily, weekly, or monthly. No more guessing why your WTD view looks different than expected.

Quick-Select Presets New toolbar buttons for Yesterday, WTD, MTD, and YTD. One click gets you there.

Accurate Goal Comparisons The Performance modal now enforces alignment between your view and goal cycles. Weekly goals display when viewing weekly data; monthly goals display when viewing monthly. This eliminates misleading comparisons and false performance signals.

New Revenue per Guest Modal Track guest-spend efficiency alongside Revenue per Check. Guest counts and opportunities are now visible, helping you identify when high RPG comes with low traffic—or vice versa.

Cleaner Performance Tables We've removed redundant Total Tips (already reflected in Tip % KPIs) and added No. of Checks and No. of Guests to help explain metric movements.

These changes apply across all F&B modals. Leaderboard views remain unchanged.

Email Verification - Security Update –

Attention Customers,

We are writing to inform you of an upcoming security and identity upgrade to the IN-Gauge platform that will take effect as part of our next release.

To improve platform security, data accuracy, and the reliability of user-level insights, we are introducing mandatory email verification at login for a controlled set of pilot locations in Phase 1 of this rollout.

This change addresses a long-standing platform limitation: a portion of users currently access the system through unverified or shared email accounts. That weakens access control, compromises auditability, and reduces the accuracy of reporting and personalization. Verified identity is now a requirement for modern, secure, enterprise-grade systems — and this update brings in-gauge into alignment with that standard.

What will happen

After this release:

  • When a user logs in, the system will check whether their email address has been verified.
  • If verification is required and the email is not yet verified, the user will be prompted to complete a short verification step before continuing.
  • A secure verification link will be sent to the user’s email address.
  • Once verified, the user will not be prompted again.

This change does not impact registration or user creation. It only applies during login and only when verification is required for a user’s assigned locations.

What users will see

Users who are already verified will not notice any difference.
Users who are not yet verified will be redirected to a verification screen and will receive an email containing a secure, time-limited verification link. After clicking the link, access will be restored immediately.

Why this matters

This upgrade enables:

  • Stronger account security
  • Accurate user-level reporting
  • Reliable notification delivery
  • Future personalization and pre-arrival experiences
  • Compliance-grade audit trails

All of these depend on trusted, verified user identities.

Support

If a user does not receive the verification email, they should check their spam or junk folder. If the issue persists, our support team is available to assist.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we strengthen the security and reliability of the in-gauge platform.

Sincerely,
Product Support

Multi-Language Audio Track Issue — Resolved

The issue affecting multi-language audio tracks in our LMS video player has now been fully resolved.

This Wistia feature allows a single video to contain multiple audio tracks so learners can easily switch between languages without needing separate versions of the same video. Each track is labeled by language, and engagement tracking remains unified across all versions.

Resolved on: Thursday, November 27th

LMS Video Play issue

We’ve confirmed that the problem occurs only in Safari and is tied to how Wistia’s player (our third party streaming service) is handled in that browser. Specifically, Safari blocks certain XMLHttpRequest calls that Wistia uses for its playback logic, which leads to the error you’re seeing.

We’re now working directly with Wistia to address this on their side and ensure consistent playback across all browsers.

We will keep all customers  updated as soon as we have a confirmed fix.

LMS Service Notice — Video Playback & Audio Track Issue

We are currently addressing two LMS media-player issues impacting some users:

1. Safari 26 – Video Playback Logout Issue

  • Safari 26 users may be automatically logged out due to a security-patch conflict affecting video playback.
  • Please use Google Chrome until a fix is deployed.
  • Engineering is finalizing the RCA and evaluating a permanent solution.

2. Multi-Language Audio Track Issue

  • Root cause analysis in progress; Wistia has advised migration to the Aurora player for full compatibility.

Resolution in progress — next update will follow after engineering delivers RCA and solution recommendations.  Friday November 21st

Announcement: Login and Account Status Improvements

October 30th

We’re updating the login and account management flow to make it clearer and more secure.
Previously, users with deactivated accounts could see a “blocked after multiple failed attempts” message and still receive password reset emails, which caused confusion.

The new workflow introduces clear, accurate messaging for each account state:

  • Active – normal login and password reset behavior.
  • Locked – temporary rate-limit after failed attempts, with clear guidance on how to unlock.
  • Deactivated – login and reset attempts now display a direct message: “Your account is deactivated. Contact your administrator.”

Admins will also see clearer account status indicators, audit logs, and reactivation options.

These improvements ensure transparency for users, reduce confusion, and bring our authentication flow in line with best practices for both security and user experience.
